I haven’t had a chance see Steller’s sea eagles (Haliaeetus pelagicus) from a relatively close distance. Whenever I travel to find them, they are so far away and my 600mm lens becomes quite useless. Today, I was not really looking to see them — and of course they just show up when I am not expecting them. Here is a photo that I took from my car — I had to crop the image a lot but it’s visible!
