Red-crowned cranes (Grus japonensis) are among the largest cranes in the world. Their wingspan can reach 8 feet (2.4 meters). When they glide over my head, I am always thrilled to feel their size and elegant movements of their wings. #japanesecrane #redcrownedcrane
