Sometimes the ocean is a fantastic artist. One day I walked into seemingly endless wave patterns left by the ocean on a sandy beach at a shorebird sanctuary in Bolivar Peninsula, Texas. I felt like I was lucky to be able to enjoy the ocean’s drawing – because the next day, the patterns were completely gone. The light and shadow created interesting contrast, so I decided to process the image in black and white.
