Gardening is something that I enjoy everyday. Whenever I do not have time to drive hours to enjoy nature in the wild, I step outside in our garden and take care of our plants, trees, and bird feeders.
Here are my favorite flowers in my garden, Lantana “Dallas Red”. When we moved to Houston, we bought a house that had dead yards (both front and back!). The lawn was brown, plants were almost non-existent. Without knowing about gardening much back then, I was advised by our neighbor that Lantana is a strong plant that can survive in our heavily clay soiled area.
He was right. Dallas Red was the first flower that bloomed in our yard. After painstaking effort to improve our soil organically for five years, our yard is finally green and blooming !
