I stumbled upon a post by Hakai Magazine and am happy to see my image was used for their story! I was hoping that someone was going to report about wildlife during Hurricane Harvey, and I am so grateful that they used my image.
I took this picture when I couldn’t get out from my almost flooded home in Houston, Texas, during hurricane Harvey. Crazy wind and rain continued for a week, and many birds were taking refuge in our tree. It was difficult to take pictures of them in the very dark and crazy windy situation, but I managed to capture both rain and wet feathered dove.
