I somehow encounter a situation where an owl (or a pair of owls) is bothered by smaller birds such as crows, grackles, jays, etc quite often. A beautiful great horned owl was perching on a branch at a park near our house in Cypress, Texas, in 2016. It was 3pm, but she was fully awake, on alert. Shortly later, a mockingbird came by and started bothering her.
