A Forest Of Bald Cypress Trees In Caddo Lake, Texas

The green leaves of bald cypress trees popped out of gray spanish moss, making the leaves look like splashes of green paint.

One of my most favorite trees in the wild is bald cypress. About a 3 hour drive to the east from Dallas, Texas, there is a bald cypress heaven – one of the largest bald cypress forests in the world. Canoeing through small canals to meet these giant masters of the forest was an extraordinary experience.
